Next on my guest post series of Top 5 Recommendations is Laura (from Laura's Books and Blogs) tells us about the films that inspired her books! I guest posted on Laura's blog back in early 2020 with my first paid opportunity where I wrote about my writing tips for disabled and chronically ill writers so I'm glad to be able to host a post from Laura!
m enjoying compiling lists of music, games, podcasts, youtubers, books, etc. with different themes, and this was one I wanted to share. Some of the people included are well known, some are less well known. I looked at some other lists, and most of them included the same five people or were all genres I don't really listen to myself even though I have a broad and eclectic music taste.
The first thing I ever wanted to be when I grew up was an artist. I let the dream go a long time ago. maybe it’s more that I felt like the kind of art I liked to create wouldn’t sell. No one would want my work. Clearly I’ve been proven wrong! I’ve sold 6 pieces this year, which is very crazy to me. The thought of my art being on display in people’s houses is... I don't know it's hard to explain how I feel. I never thought this would be a thing! Thank you everyone who has shared my work!!
It's a lot harder going secondhand shopping with a lot of restrictions that keep varying depending on where you go or are located. It's not as easy as rummaging through piles of clothes or racks, we can't try things on (very often) anymore to make sure items fit before we buy, and with the limited shoppers many places are bumping up their prices even though they've all been getting mass donations throughout Lockdown 1. We are entering a second official Lockdown and it's looking like nowhere will be allowed open. How are we shopping now?
